We had a great time at the Wilson County/Tennessee State Fair, with a record attendance greater than 866,000 people! Chef Garrett Pittler held a cooking demonstration of Elvis's Hawaiian Bacon Wrapped Plantain with Peanut Sauce recipe. You can find the recipe here.

Bailey Ball, 6th grader from Campbell Co., won Champion Purebred Market Hog, and Brandon Burr, 8th grader from Overton Co., won Crossbred Champion Market Hog. 

The pork from the grand champions are being donated to Cul2vate,  to help those with food insecurity needs and headquartered at the TN Department of Agriculture, Nashville, TN. 

The Grand Champions were purchased by Tosh Farms and Bacon by Gosh, Henry, TN.
